A behind-the-scenes tour of DRAGO PARIS, in the heart of the workshops where the collection of official pins for the
Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games is made.
AICO had the privilege of visiting the DRAGO PARIS teams and manufacturing workshops, located a few kilometers from Paris, guided by Mr. Mathieu MARCAUD, Deputy Managing Director, Mrs. Catherine RIGAL, Marketing Manager, and Mr. Sébastien DEMION, Sales Manager.
Design workshops with the use of digital tools, press workshops, printing workshops, then packaging workshops… not to mention the impressive collection of medal matrices, because let’s not forget, before being the creator of Olympic pins, DRAGO PARIS is a “goldsmith designer” and medallist.
It is also from these workshops that orders placed via the internet are shipped.
A special room houses the stock of all pin references: Olympic pin walls!
Unsurprisingly, the “Mascotte” collection was a great success, and more surprisingly, the “Paris Essentiel” collection attracted many buyers and collectors, especially the “pigeon” pin.
“Table Tennis” pins have seen their sales jump in recent days!! A link with the sports news of the France team competing for the Olympics?
Catherine RIGAL reveals that some collections will have a fairly small print run compared to the size of the global event. Beyond the risk of these pieces running out of stock, their small mintage will make them a greater rarity.
These references are presented in the Drago tableaux series production 2024 with limited editions of 5000 copies, some of which are already almost sold out and which will not be manufactured in addition.
With less than 5 months to go before the Games, the pin collections are ready.
