The Olympic Heritage of the Sorbonne

Throughout history, universities have played a crucial role in the advancement of knowledge and societal evolution. At the Sorbonne, Pierre de Coubertin’s efforts were instrumental in reviving the modern Olympic Games, highlighting the university’s enduring impact on global heritage.

Interpreting this heritage is complex, shaped by challenges of digitization, political changes, and diverse narratives within museums and cultural events. This exhibition delves into the Sorbonne’s Olympic heritage, exploring its lasting contributions to the Olympic movement and its influence on the world stage.
