João Maia: 4 Senses 1 Vision

This exceptional exhibition, titled ‘Photographic Exhibition: 4 Senses 1 Vision’, will showcase the unique works of Brazilian photographer João Maia, who became blind at the age of 29. The exhibition will highlight João’s captivating photos taken during the Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Guided by his other senses, João was able to capture decisive moments of the Paralympic athletes, demonstrating his incredible ability to overcome challenges.

Felipe Pimenta is a Luso-Brazilian now based in Europe, holding a master’s degree in sustainable development. In Brazil, he was involved in Rotary International’s Youth Programs for over 20 years, during which he began collecting Rotary memorabilia and stamps. In 2016, he had the opportunity to participate in the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. One of his collections focuses on Brazilian Olympic stamps.
 
Felipe coordinated the Photographic Exhibition: 4 Senses and 1 Vision as part of his role at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, with the support of organizations such as AICO, INJA-Louis Braille, and FORMASUP Paris IDF.
