AICO Launches New Website At Olympic Fair
The 21st World Olympic Collectors Fair is the site of this year’s meeting of the Executive Board of the International Association of Olympic Collectors (AICO). The fair, an annual event patronized by the International Olympic Committee, brings together collectors, dealers, and Olympic fans from around the world for 4 days of events. This year’s fair, hosted by the Olympin Collectors Club based in the United States, takes place in Lake Placid, New York, from 10-13 September 2015.
Olympic enthusiasts will recall that Lake Placid held the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Winter Games. Its Olympic facilities are a magnet for recreational as well as elite winter sports athletes.
AICO is holding a special townhall-style meeting on Saturday morning, 12 September at 8:00 AM on the top floor of the Olympic Center to which the collecting public is invited. In addition to a Question & Answer session, AICO will be launching its new website, over a year in the making!
For philatelists, the U.S. Postal Service will provide a special cancellation on the 10, 11, and 12 September.
A limited number of Olympic Fair pins will be sold for $5 each only at the show.
Visitors will also be able to purchase a colorful show postcard.
