WOCF BLOCKBUSTER SILENT AUCTION

Silent Auction headliners

The WOCF Silent Auction scheduled for Friday evening May 22 is shaping up to be a blockbuster! The USOPC Archives has helped us to acquire several older and significant items that are sure to attract high bidding, and are easy to take home.

Among the items already secured are:

Ten IOC badges from 2014, 2015, 2021 and 2025
1960 Squaw Valley bid supplement book to the USOC from 1955 (above)
1948 St. Moritz Daily Programs
1956 Cortina Daily Programs (above)
1960 Squaw Valley Daily Programs
1932 Lake Placid Daily Summaries

We look forward to an active auction and lots of happy winners!

WOCF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Interior of the USOPM

We’re putting together a great team of volunteers to help make the 2026 World Olympic Collectors’ Fair run smoothly—and we’d love to have you involved! Volunteering is a fun way to meet fellow collectors, get a behind-the-scenes look at the event, and contribute to the success of this international gathering. Whether you can spare an hour or help throughout the weekend, there’s a role for you.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Registration and Welcome Desk (Friday–Sunday)
Gift Bag Assembly (Thursday afternoon or early Friday)
Olympian Autograph & Photo Session Coordination
Directional Assistance for Tours (USOPC, Training Center, Museum)
Silent Auction Support (setup, checkout, and wrap-up)
Event Setup and Take-Down (frames, signage, displays)

If you’re interested in volunteering, please let us know your availability and preferred roles—we’ll match you with a position that fits your schedule. Your help will make a real difference in creating a memorable experience for all attendees! Please contact
Jim Goddard (jhgoddard1503@comcast.net)
if you can help out!

Promote Your Olympic Association

Interior of the USOPM

We still need the AICO Members to assemble a short (8-page) overview of their association and its involvement in bringing Olympic history to life through collecting. This is an easy way to acquaint other collectors from around the world with your activities — and perhaps gain some new members!

Each AICO member association is invited to reserve a half-frame (8 pages, A4 or standard letter size) to present and promote its society.

The content is entirely your choice. You may tell a thematic or topical story, present a chronological history of your country’s Olympic participation, highlight notable athletes or milestone moments, or showcase distinctive material from your members’ collections.

The only requirement is that either the first or last page include information about your association — including how to join, contact details, and your website URL.

To make participation accessible to all AICO member associations, you may either email high-resolution (300 dpi) scans of your completed pages in advance, or bring printed pages to the Fair. You do not have to attend in order to participate.

Associations wishing to participate should contact the project coordinator, Mark Maestrone (m.maestrone@gmail.com). The deadline to reserve display space is April 20, 2026.
