Coubertin Exhibit Showing at USOPM during WOCF 2026

Genius of Sport Exhibit

Genius of Sport, an exhibit covering the life and legacy of Pierre de Coubertin, is opening at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs on May 23, 2026.

Originally opened in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games, the USOPM commissioned a new edition from writer/producer George Hirthler with a distinct emphasis on Coubertin’s two trips to the US in 1889 & 1893 and the allies he gathered to help him launch the Olympic Games in 1894.

Here’s a promo piece on the Paris 2024 exhibit. More info to follow as it becomes available.

Showcase Your Olympic Collector Association

Interior of the USOPM

WOCF 2026 will feature 12 display frames dedicated to philatelic and other flat Olympic collectibles. Each AICO member association is invited to reserve a half-frame (8 pages, A4 or standard letter size) to present and promote its society.

The content is entirely your choice. You may tell a thematic or topical story, present a chronological history of your country’s Olympic participation, highlight notable athletes or milestone moments, or showcase distinctive material from your members’ collections.

The only requirement is that either the first or final page include information about your association — including how to join and contact details, along with your website.

To make participation accessible to all AICO member associations, you may either email high-resolution (300 dpi) scans of your completed pages in advance, or bring printed pages to the Fair.

Associations wishing to participate should contact the project coordinator, Mark Maestrone (m.maestrone@gmail.com). The deadline to reserve display space is April 1, 2026.
