Dr. Branislav Delej (2022-2026)

Dr. Branislav Delej formed the Slovak Society of Olympic and Sports Collectors in 2004 and has since served as President.

His areas of interest from a collecting perspective are Olympic pins and other memorabilia from 2000 to the present. He is a member of the Olympin Collectors Club since 2001 and has participated in the IOC Olympic Collectors Fairs in Lausanne (2005 and 2014), Warsaw (2009 and 2019) , Cologne (2010), Chicago (2011), Bo Norway (2013), Lake Placid (2015), Gothenburg (2016), Bratislava (2017 – Organizer and President of the Fair), Los Angeles (2018), Paris (2023) and Prague (2025 – Member of Organizing Committee).

He was a member of the Executive Board of the Slovak Olympic Committee (2012 – 2016).

Dr. Delej (Ass. Prof., MD., PhD., MPH) is a Sport – Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon and Director of SPORTMED Bratislava – private polyclinic for athletes. He is President of the Slovak Sports Medicine Society since 2015. He has served as the Chief Medical Doctor or Team Doctor for the Slovak Olympic Teams to the Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Torino 2006, Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Sochi 2014, Rio 2016, Pyeongchang 2018 (also Paralympics), Tokio 2021, Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024 Olympics.

A native of Slovakia currently residing in Bratislava, Dr. Delej speaks English, German, Russian, Slovak and Czech. His hobbies include traveling, golf and cycling.
